Legal Information Institute - A massive directory of legal resources maintained by Cornell University.

Law Forum - A great Internet resource for attorneys, and their clients.

California Penal Code - The laws governing crime in California.

Federal Criminal Law - Title 18 of the United States Code, governing Federal crimes.

The United States Sentencing Commission - Federal crimes have a specific sentencing guideline, as determined by this body. This site includes a copy of those Sentencing Guidelines.

The Sentencing Project - A nonprofit organization advocating reduced and alternate sentencing.

The American Civil Liberties Union - As the premiere watchdog for the Constitution, the ACLU fights for the rights of the individual.

California Civil Code - This site has a complete copy of the California Civil Code, the laws governing civil litigation.

Crime Victims' Handbook - Published by the Attorney General of California, this handbook covers civil litigation for victims of crime (among other topics).
